Lisa has been the owner of Kidz Zone Pediatric Speech Therapy Services, PLLC since 2005. She completed her undergraduate and ,master’s degree at East Tennessee State University in 1994. Lisa began working with adults in different settings such as long-term care, hospital, and home health. She participated in the out-patient clinic through the hospital where she found a love for working with early intervention. She then opened her practice on a very small scale, however, Kidz Zone has grown immensely over the years. She began with 2-3 part-time SLP’s and now has managed up to 16 employees. Lisa’s hobbies include reading, photography, cooking healthy meals, and playing with her grandchildren.
Upon Graduating from Eastern Kentucky University in 2003 and passing the NBCOT exam, Jessica began practicing Occupational Therapy at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. Here she had a range of experiences, including: Inpatient Rehab, Acute Care, NICU, and Outpatient Pediatrics and Adults. After 3 years with PMC, Jessica married Chris and moved to Morristown, taking a full-time position at Baptist Hospital (later acquired by St. Mary's) in Knoxville, working for 2 years with Inpatient Rehab, Acute Care, and Transitional Care Settings. Jessica transitioned from full-time at St. Mary's in Knoxville to work as an independent contractor for Hamblen County Schools, Rogersville City Schools, and Innovative Therapy Solutions. She joined the Kidz Zone family in the spring of 2011. She continues to work PRN at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center and Heritage Care Nursing Center of Life Care in Morristown, TN to keep current with the evaluation and treatment of the adult population. To this day, Jessica enjoys working with children and their families, encouraging children to achieve optimal independence with daily occupations, including but not limited to, play activities, academic activities, and self-care tasks. Jessica has completed all continuing education courses offered by Learning Without Tears (formally Handwriting Without Tears). She has also attended many courses through the years, focusing on evaluation and treatment for children with diagnoses of Autism, Sensory Processing Disorders, Behavior Disorders, and Neuro-Developmental Delays.
